Ariana Grande Is Paying Tribute to Mac Miller in the Sweetest Way During Her World Tour
Ariana Grande paid tribute to her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller during opening night of her Sweetener World Tour, playing his music as fans waited for her to hit the stage.
Mac died of an accidental overdose on September 7, 2018. He was just 26.
Ariana Grande kicked off her Sweetener World Tour last night (yaaaaas), and she made sure to honor her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller-who died of an accidental overdose on September 7. According to fans who were lucky enough to nab tickets for opening night of the tour, Ariana chose to play some of Mac's music as everyone waited for her to take the stage. Which yeah, is super emotional and heart-breaking.
"Ariana Grande is playing Mac Miller right before her opening song for Sweetener tour rn and my heart can’t handle it SO MANY TEARS," one fan tweeted, while another wrote "Aaaaand they’re playing Mac Miller at the Ariana Grande concert. Not emotional no no no not at all."
FYI, Ariana's paid tribute to Mac frequently since his death, and even seems to have sampled his music in her new song "Ghostin'."
Oh, and back in December she covered up one of her many (many...MANY) Pete Davidson tattoos with the name of Mac's dog Myron, who she started caring for after his death. Ariana debuted the tattoo during a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the "Thank U, Next" music video, showing her friends and saying "Look at my Myron. Guys, come look. How cool right?"
In conclusion: MY HEART.
