Ariana Grande Says Wants to Go on Tour, But That the Idea Is "Scary" Right Now
Ariana Grande has been taking some much-needed time to heal after a difficult period. Earlier this month, Grande's ex-boyfriend and longtime friend Mac Miller died of apparent overdose. Today, however, the singer expressed an interest in going on tour and reconnecting with her fans.
“I’m antsy," she wrote. "Can’t sit still. i wanna tour now. yesterday i jus wanted to sit home forever but today i wanna do show and see u. it’s all v up n down rn. but hi. ily. i am working on it. i’ll keep ya posted."
When a fan responded that they would never want Grande to go on tour and then regret it, she replied decisively that she wouldn't regret a tour, but that the idea of leaving the comfort of home was "scary" at the moment.
“Id never regret it. my happiest moments are with y’all and on stage and stuff. i think it’s just the looooooong chunks of time away from home that are scary to me rn. hi i’m being too honest and people r gonna tear me apart but idc anymore. lol,” she wrote.
In follow-up tweet, she floated the possibility of doing a "mini" tour as a compromise between her desire to get back out there and her fears about leaving home.
“Like maybe i’ll do a mini one. i cant do what i did last time right now. that i do know. whatever it is i hope it’s okay with you. i just love and miss you. everybody telling me i need to take time but i’m so antsy. idk. ily,” she added.

Grande was originally scheduled to perform during tonight's season premiere of Saturday Night Live, but pulled out earlier this week due to "emotional reasons."
“We had Ariana drop out for emotional reasons two days ago,” series creator and producer Lorne Michaels explained during an interview on the “Origins With James Andrew Miller” podcast. "That’s our premiere, and then Kanye [West] stepped up, and he’ll be there. So, the reach of the show and the number of people who will step forward is now somehow now, I think, probably at its peak."
