Ariana Grande just shared some exciting news — and no, it isn't about her wedding (yet). The 27-year-old pop star will be serving as a coach on the next season of NBC's singing competition, The Voice.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Grande shared the news about her new gig with a simple "Surprise!!!"

"I am beyond thrilled, honored, excited to be joining @kellyclarkson @johnlegend @blakeshelton next season," her caption read. She also briefly addressed taking Nick Jonas' spot as a coach as she said "We will miss you."

With Grande's golden pipes and her record-breaking hits, it's no mystery that she's bringing her expertise to The Voice's panel of coaches. She went from her songs being performed for blind auditions to listening to the newest voices in music — if that's not the best case of "how it started vs. how it's going," I don't know what is.

On the other hand, some people — like celebrity photographer Miles Diggs — had to make sure that the news is legit.

"I had to check to make sure it wasn’t April Fools ??," Diggs commented.

There's no word on when Season 21 is premiering, but The Voice season 20 is currently airing Mondays at 8 p.m. PT/ET on NBC.
