Arts on the Millrace returns for 11th annual festival
Sep. 5—GOSHEN — More than 50 regional artists will display their work for sale and competition during the 11th annual Arts on the Millrace this Saturday.
The free festival is coordinated by Art House and takes place from 10:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. along Goshen's Millrace Canal.
A variety of unique pieces will be on display from local artists in many mediums, including painting, woodworking, clay arts, jewelry making and glass. The day is also filled with musical performances, free kids' art activities, food trucks and a beverage tent.
Music Together's Annual Celebration kicks off the event at 10:30 a.m.
Following the celebration, Imphormal will perform at 11:30 a.m., Daisy (Betsy Long) at 1 p.m., DJ MINATO at 2:30 p.m., Clara Wilson at 3:30 p.m., and Hav Musuvs rounds out the entertainment for the day at 5 p.m.
"We have so many talented artists here in Goshen and the region, and this is such a great opportunity for the community to come out and support them," said festival director Adrienne Nesbitt. "It's perfect timing to start buying Christmas presents, but you can also have a blast grabbing some food and picking up some new items for your home. I love seeing families make a day out of it."
Awards will also be given for top artists. Awards are Best in Show, People's Choice, Jake Loewen Craftsmanship Award, and Best Tent Aesthetic.
