Astrology Says Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton's Engagement Was Fated
There’s a good chance the first time Blake Shelton met fiancée Gwen Stefani, he instantly knew they were destined to be together. And according to intuitive astrologer Rachel Lang, says there’s tons of celestial evidence to back the claim.
Blake’s Neptune, the planet that rules spirituality and creativity, is positioned at a favorable angle from Gwen’s sun. This means “they have compassion for one another and a deep spiritual connection,” says Lang. It’s something Blake (thanks to Neptune) would have picked up on the moment he and Gwen first started talking. From that point on Blake’s felt safe being open and vulnerable around Gwen because she connects with him on an a deeper level. It’s why the couple was able to make things official so soon after meeting and how, despite their being stars in very different musical genres, they’ve been able to blend their styles and make beautiful music together.
This is not to say their magnetic attraction went off without a hitch, Lang points out. “Blake's Pluto is also very close to Gwen's Sun, which shows that this relationship means profound changes and transformation for both of them.” There’s a possibility that it was tough for Blake to commit to Gwen at first but, in the end, their undeniable connection won out. “This is indicative of their chemistry,” says Lang. “They likely felt as if they’ve known one another for lifetimes.”
Because their connection is so intense, Lang says it’s important that the couple maintain a sense of humor and fun to counter all that passion. And according to astrology, they’ve been able to uphold the balance so far. Here’s how:
Because they’re air signs, they always have something to talk about.
As air signs—Gwen, a Libra, and Blake, a Gemini—Lang says they're never at a loss for topics of conversation. "Air signs love to discuss ideas. They learn from one another and teach one another," adds Lange. Plus, Blake knows just what to say to make Gwen laugh because of his Gemini wit.
And if that wasn't enough, Blake's mercury, the planet of communication, is also in Gemini and positioned at the perfect angle from Gwen's sun. This, says Lang, points to an active social life: "The couple is likely to have a wide social circle. They bring people together for collaborative projects and may love entertaining together."
Having their moons in Pisces makes all the difference at home.
The moon reflects someone's truest essence, says Lang. "It's our emotional nature and it also represents home and family" And, in Gwen and Blake's case, both their moons are in Pisces. "When two people have the same moon sign, they naturally feel right at home with one another," she adds. Because of this compatibility, Gwen and Blake are emotionally linked, and Lang says they can easily pick up on each other's vibes and anticipate each other's needs.
Sharing moons also means Blake and Gwen process their emotions similarly. "Both are sensitive and creative," Lang says. "They need to be careful of how they speak to one another in conflict." And because Gwen's Mercury is in Scorpio, that means she tends to be very direct.
Uranus and Venus sometimes present challenges for the couple.
Uranus rules freedom and independence and Venus rules love and pleasure. Since Gwen's Uranus is at a 90-degree angle from Blake's Venus, she may seem distant "or in need of space," says Lang. "This can make Blake feel as if she’s unpredictable." But they can work through it, though. With such a strong spiritual connection, it's important that Gwen and Blake make time for themselves. It might be challenging, since their pull to each other is so strong, but maintaining their personal lives will benefit them in the long run.
