The Augusta area is getting ready to boom! Here are some upcoming 4th of July festivities

Independence Day is on July 4, but the Augusta area will have fireworks, outdoor concerts, food trucks, and other Fourth of July festivities all week long. Here's a look at some of them:

Grovetown's Fireworks Show is 6 p.m. June 29 at Liberty Park at 1040 Newmantown Rd. There will be food vendors, live music, and alcoholic drinks. The fireworks start at dusk.

First Baptist North Augusta's 4th of July Church Family BBQ is noon June 30 at 625 Georgia Ave. There will be hotdogs, hamburgers, baked beans, coleslaw, chips, and dessert. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for children grades 5 and younger. Those interested need to sign up at qrco.de by June 27.

Burke County's 3rd of July is 6-10 p.m. July 3 at Jonathan Broxton Park in Waynesboro at 465 Burke Veterans Pkwy. There will be food trucks, games, and a fireworks show.

Fort Eisenhower's Independence Day Celebration is 6-11 p.m. July 3 at Barton Field. Live music will be provided by country artist Chris Cagle and platinum-recording group Lonestar. There will also be food vendors and a kiddie carnival. Admission is free. Fireworks start at about 9:45 p.m. For more info, go to eisenhower.armymwr.com.

Dr. Factenstein's American History Trivia Night is 7 p.m. July 3 at American Legion Post 63 in Augusta at 90 Milledge Rd. It's free and open to the public. There will be a bar and food available for purchase.

Independence Day at Meadow Garden is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 4 in Augusta at 1320 Independence Dr. Meadow Garden is the historic home of George Walton, a Georgia signer of the Declaration of Independence 248 years ago. There will be a reading of the declaration at 11 a.m. Guests can tour the house and there will be activities for kids. Admission is free. For more info, go to historicmeadowgarden.org.

Augusta's Independence Day Celebration is July 4 at the Augusta Common on the 800 block of Broad Street. Fun kicks off at 5 p.m. with live entertainment, kid zones, food trucks, and vendors. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Boom! In the Park is July 4 at Evans Towne Center Park at 7016 Evans Towne Center Blvd. Gates open at 5 p.m. There will be food trucks, live music, and a fireworks/laser show.

Stephens Auction Company's 4th of July Bash is 6-7:30 p.m. July 4 in Warrenville at 2796 Pine Log Rd. There will be waterslides, fireworks, food, and games.

Augusta GreenJackets' Independence Day festivities are July 4 at SRP Park in North Augusta's Riverside Village at 187 Railroad Ave. There will be live music before the game 5-6 p.m. The game against the Columbia Fireflies will feature thematic jerseys which will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Augusta. There will be a fireworks show following the game.

You can also enjoy Augusta's and the GreenJacket's fireworks from the Savannah River with an Independence Day Paddle by Two Dudes and a Boat Kayak Rentals. Participants meet at the 5th Street Marina Terrace, entering the water at 7:15 p.m., leaving the dock at 7:45 p.m., and returning at 10 p.m. Single and tandem kayaks available with varied prices. Those interested must RSVP ahead of time at checkout.square.site.

Edge Nightclub's Fourth of July Foam Party is 9 p.m. July 6 in Augusta at 1258 Gordon Hwy. Beachwear and swimwear are encouraged. Parliament Resort guests get in free, otherwise there is a $10 cover.
