'New Auntie' Britney Spears Overjoyed While Meeting Lance Bass' Twins in Adorable Photos

Britney Spears is celebrating family and becoming an aunt again, though this time, it's double the excitement as she's welcoming twins into her chosen brood.

The "Gimme More" songstress shared two snaps online that showed her meeting Lance Bass' twins with husband and actor Michael Turchin: Violet Betty and Alexander James.

The adorable new photos show Spears, 41, posing between the NSYNC alum, 44, and her 29-year-old husband, Sam Asghari, while the couple took turns snuggling up to each of Bass' 20-month-old infants.

"I’m a new auntie for Lance’s babies !!!" she wrote in the July 24 post, adding, "They are absolutely gorgeous babies !!!"

While Spears and Bass may not be direct relatives, a DNA test proved the two are more closely related than they had once believed–as they are sixth cousins, once removed.

"Are you kidding me? ... This is amazing. Oh my gosh!" Bass said on a 2021 episode of Ancestry's 2 Lies & A Leaf series. "Look, I wanted to be related to the Queen. Well, now I'm related to the queen of pop!"

"That is so crazy though, 'cause, I mean, I feel like she's my little sister, and this whole time she's been my little cousin. And it makes sense because we were born an hour from each other. This is so cool," he said. "For some reason, I always felt like we looked like family, even when we were kids. I mean, this means so much to me. She is like family to me, so the fact that we are blood-related is amazing."

As for the Princess of Pop's direct relatives, well, she seems to be on the mend with them as well following the fallout of her controversial conservatorship in 2021.

Earlier this summer, Spears hinted at a reconciliation with her younger sister, Jamie Lynn, after sharing on Instagram that she visited her on set of what's presumably the upcoming flick Zoey 102. Weeks prior, she also shared that her mother, Lynne, whom she'd been estranged from for some time, showed up at her house unexpectedly and that the visit went well.
