The Awkward Moment Katy Perry Was Asked If She’d Collaborate With Taylor Swift
Katy Perry and Taylor Swift were both at the iHeartRadio Music Awards last night, though the women did not cross paths on the red carpet or during the show's broadcast. But Perry was asked about Swift anyway during her interview with Entertainment Tonight. Now that the two have declared peace on their years-long, headline-making feud, would Perry make music with Swift? Perry's response was a little weird, in part because she was dressed as her robot character from her and Zedd's "365" music video at the show and somewhat playing that role.
"Taylor Swift was just on this carpet before you. What about the rumors that Katy Perry and Taylor Swift could make music together?" the outlet's reporter asked Perry on camera.
"I mean, I'm making music with Zedd. I'm open-open, open, open," she said. Then she quipped, "I'm a lovable A.I." Perry was also asked how she knew her fiancé Orlando Bloom was the one for her. She also had a simple answer for that. "Oh, it's just obvious."
Swift and Perry declared peace on their feud last May. Swift posted an Instagram story of the literal olive wreath that Perry sent her right before she played her first Reputation world tour show then-the very tour that Swift was honored for at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. "Thank you Katy," Swift wrote, with a double heart emoji.
Perry did not present Swift's Tour of the Year award during the broadcast. Instead, she and Zedd presented the first honor of the night, the Best Duo/Group of the Year award, to 5 Seconds of Summer.
