Ayo Edebiri’s Emmys red carpet look? Best of the night, TBH
The Bear is once again nominated for a million Emmy Awards, and obviously Ayo Edebiri is up for Best Actress in a Comedy Series! And due to having impeccable taste in everything, she showed up on the red carpet wearing one of the best looks of the night—a colourful strapless gown with a mile-high slit.
Also in the Best Actress in a Comedy Series category? Quinta Brunson for Abbott Elementary, Selena Gomez for Only Murders in the Building, Maya Rudolph for Loot, Jean Smart for Hacks, and Kristen Wiig for Palm Royale.
Ayo won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series at the 2023 Emmys, and thanked her parents in a sweet speech. “I’m so incredibly grateful for this for so many reasons,” she said at the time.
“This show is about family, and found family and real family, and my parents are here tonight. I’m making them sit kind of far away from me because I’m a bad kid, but I love you guys so much. Thank you so much for loving me and letting me feel beautiful and Black and proud of all of that.”
She ended her speech by noting that it “probably not a dream to immigrate to this country and have your child be like, ‘I want to do improv!’ Thank you so much for this, it means the world.”
