B&B and GH Alum Jacob Young Announces a Big Career Move
Jacob Young, as Rick Forrester, tended to direct lots of the action at Forrester Creations on Bold and the Beautiful. Now, the Daytime Emmy winner (for his role as Lucky Spencer on General Hospital) is embarking on a different kind of directing — his first feature.
Ready for His Close-Up
“I can’t tell you how excited I am to be acting, producing and making my directorial debut,” Young says. “It’s been a long time coming, but with patience and hard work anything is possible!”
Young’s feature is titled Murder Between Friends. His soap pals are already chiming in with congratulatory posts. Kimberlin Brown, who recently left her role as Sheila on B&B after being killed off (we think!), wrote: “Now go kill it!!! Adding later, she posted: “Pun intended” along with a smiley face.
Darin Brooks (ex-Wyatt), Don Diamont (Bill), Winsor Harmon (who recurs as Thorne), Days of our Lives’ Eric Martsolf (Brady), and GH’s Cameron Mathison (Drew) also post supportive messages.
The film is set to star DAYS’ actress Nadia Bjorlin (ex-Chloe) and Joan Collins (ex-Alexis, Dynasty; ex-Alexandra, Guiding Light). The movie tells the story about a famous TV star who attempts to solve a murder that took place on her estate in the country.
No word yet on when filming commences or when the movie will be available, but Soap Hub will keep Young’s fans informed as soon as news becomes available.
