Babies"R"Us to open inside a major Wilmington chain store

Are you a mom, an expecting mom to be, a parent or anyone else that needs to buy a baby gift for a baby shower?

There is a new baby store coming to Wilmington.

Babies"R"Us, which closed all its stores in 2018 alongside parent brand Toys R Us, will open inside Kohl's department store.

The Wilmington Kohl's, located at 228 Old Eastwood Road, is one of 200 stores that is introducing Kohl’s Babies"R"Us later this year.

The Babies"R"Us at Kohl’s shop will feature a curated assortment of the latest baby gear ― furniture, activity, accessories, and much more. Adjacent to the shop, customers will find the best of Kohl’s existing baby and kids' apparel and other offerings from brands like Little Co. by Lauren Conrad, Jumping Beans, Carters, Nike, and more. Merchandise will also be available nationwide on Kohls.com.

According to a report from The News Journal of Wilmington, Delaware, Kohl's has seen drastic stock losses this year, with low earnings in the first quarter. But Kohl's spokespeople said earlier this year they hope the well-known Babies"R"Us brand will "introduce more new customers to Kohl's, including younger customers who will be choosing Kohl's for the first time."

Babies"R"Us will join another in-store shop at Kohl's in makeup outlet Sephora.
