Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. & Lauren Burnham Are Getting Married Sooner Than You Think

You didn’t think Arie Luyendyk Jr. was going to let new Bachelorette Becca Kufrin get all the attention, did you?

The former Bachelor and his fiancee, Lauren Burnham, appeared on today’s episode of The View and announced they set a date for their nuptials. The couple will tie the knot in Hawaii on—drumroll, please—January 12, 2019.

Luyendyk Jr. said, “It’s in Maui—it’s at Haiku Mill, which has this beautiful, old-world feel with a lot of vines and greenery.”

The 36-year-old went on to say that it will be a private ceremony. (Sorry, Chris Harrison.) “It’s not your typical beach wedding. And it’s a private wedding, so not on TV—just a close group of friends. Probably 100 guests.”

Back in March, the couple made headlines when Luyendyk Jr. proposed to Kufrin during the season finale of The Bachelor and then broke off the engagement to pursue Burnham, the runner-up. Sure, ABC eventually named Kufrin the next Bachelorette, but we can’t deny that the timing of this wedding announcement seems oddly suspicious.

Coincidence? We think not. Season 14 of The Bachelorette premieres on Monday, May 28, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
