Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham Set a Wedding Date and Location
Janu-Arie awaits. Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. and fiancée Lauren Burnham have set a wedding date and a location, the couple announced Wednesday, May 23, on The View.
The two have opted for a Hawaii wedding to kick off 2019. The venue itself is Haiku Mill in Maui, which Luyendyk described as a “beautiful, Old World field” with “lots of vines and greenery.” The groom also claimed that his nuptials would be far from a “typical beach wedding.”
The date is January 12, 2019. Only 100 or so guests will be invited to witness the moment. “I think if we were able to get married tomorrow, we would,” Burnham chimed in. “We’re just really happy with each other and we vibe well together. We’re best friends, so we’re just ready for that next step.”
Unlike other Bachelor couples, the two have opted not to document their nuptials for live television. “It’s a private wedding, so not on TV,” the race car driver noted. Previously, the two were open to a TV wedding, though by next January, a new Bachelor will likely replace Luyendyk as the lead.
Luyendyk’s former fiancee Becca Kufrin, in the meantime, revealed Tuesday that she’s engaged after wrapping her season of The Bachelorette. Luyendyk controversially broke up with Kufrin in favor of his runner-up Burnham on national television—after the finale episode was shot in Peru.
