Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock Looks Back on Her Favorite Wedding Moment
Those special moments. Nearly three years ago, former Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock married her final pick from the reality franchise, Chris Siegfried, in a scenic California wedding. And while the couple shared the day with their closest friends and family members, one of the best memories actually transpired when they were alone.
“My favorite moment… All of it?” Hartsock, who attended The Knot Gala at the New York Public Library on Monday, October 9, tells The Knot. “My favorite moment was after the ceremony when it was just Chris and I in the limo… That was the moment we got to be like, ‘Oh! We’re husband and wife.’”
Of course, that was followed by the couple’s gorgeous reception nearby. “My second favorite was the dance party,” she adds.
Hartsock and Siegfried married at the sun-soaked Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, in January 2015. For the occasion, the bride wore two dresses—one lace and the other, a party-friendly beaded gown—both designed by herself. Just last week, Hartsock launched her own namesake bridal label, an endeavor that’s two years in the making.
“It feels great. It’s like giving birth to a child,” Hartsock says. “I’m so thankful to have it out there.” However, it’s hard for the designer to pick a favorite piece from the collection. “I love them all,” she says. “I think a lot of them are effortless and I want someone to feel beautiful like a princess without having a ballgown.”
