‘Bachelorette’ Hits Peak Drama: The Men Wrongly Team Up Against Chasen (& Oil Wrestling Ensues)
*Warning: Spoilers ahead*
On tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette, Tayshia Adams was faced with a tough decision after the men accused one contestant of being there for the wrong reasons. So, did he deserve it? And will it impact his future on the show?
Here’s what went down in season 16, episode six of The Bachelorette.
The installment picks up right where we left off in episode five, with Adams resuming the dates after her one-on-one excursion with Brendan. This time, she takes eight men—Ben, Bennett, Chasen, Demar, Ed, Ivan, Joe and Montel—on a group date, where they’re challenged to a “Grown A** Man” competition hosted by Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon.
Later that night, the men accuse Chasen of being there for the wrong reasons. He denies it (of course), but the gossip gets back to Adams, who seems uneasy. She ends up giving the group date rose to Ivan.
At the rose ceremony, Adams hands out roses to everyone but Jay, Montel and Peter.
The next day, Adams invites Ben, Brendan, Chasen, Eazy, Ed, Joe, Jordan C. and Spencer to get coached by WWE Hall of Famer Amy Dumas and UFC fighter Tatiana Suarez. After completing wrestling drills, the men get oiled up and go head-to-head in front of an audience (AKA the contestants who aren’t on the date).
When Ed backs out due to an injury, Noah doesn’t hesitate volunteering to take his place. This move doesn’t sit well with the other contestants, particularly when Adams invites him to the after-party (and then makes him shave his mustache). The episode concludes with her giving Noah the rose. #Yikes
As much as we hate to say it, we don’t think Chasen deserved the drama that was thrown at him during tonight’s episode.
Is he putting on an act for Adams? Probably. Did he say some pretty immature things? Yes. But did he deserve to have his reputation dragged through the mud? Not in the slightest.
If Chasen is aggressive or trying to promote his career, Adams deserved to figure that out for herself. Regardless of what happened, there’s no way Chasen can come back from this (and it’s all because he used the same word to describe Adams and Crawley). Although Adams gave Chasen a rose, she’s already hesitant about him, and they’ve only known each other for a matter of days.
Not to mention, Ed jeopardized his own relationship by tattling. He was so busy dealing with the drama that he spent zero time with Adams. So, what’s the point in stirring the pot?
Please, enlighten us. The Bachelorette returns to ABC next Tuesday, November 24, at 8 p.m.
