‘Bachelorette’ JoJo Fletcher Goes Braless and Makeup-Free at Home
When you exfoliate together, you’re appropriate together.
That definitely applies to JoJo Fletcher, who went on TV twice to unearth Mr. Right and proved that tenacity wins the game. Fletcher found love as the 12th Bachelorette, falling for sports commentator Jordan Rodgers, after being sidelined by Ben Higgins while a contestant on the 11th season of The Bachelor.
Now, she and Rodgers have spa days at home. “I’ll do a ton of masks and peels. We did this whole thing together, and he said his face was so smooth. Jordan likes to exfoliate. Dr. Dennis Gross pads — they’re the best things ever. The Glow pads are incredible. They exfoliate while tanning your skin. It’s awesome.”
Fletcher takes great care of her visage. “I play around with products. La Mer, it’s so expensive, and I use that right now. It’s a little too thick for my skin, so I like to mix it with an oil serum to lighten it. You should see my drawer. Vitamin C serum I use all the time — literally by anyone,” she says.
The first time Rodgers spied Fletcher sans lipstick and mascara was in a fantasy suite while shooting the show. “Jordan would rather see me without makeup. That’s his preference,” says Fletcher. “I’ll never go to bed with my makeup on.”
At home, she’s au natural. “No makeup. It’s the best feeling. No bra. I want to be completely disheveled. When I don’t have to be all dolled-up, I want to slap on moisturizer, let my hair air-dry and just be.”
The two are now engaged and living Dallas, where the Texas real estate developer still keeps her businesses going. One of her new gigs: endorsing Orbit White gum, something some of the suitors could have used during her season.
“I won’t name names. There were a few guys that were hard to converse with and when I knew I had to kiss them — it was so bad. I fought through it. I’m addicted to gum. My breath was OK,” she says.
She and Rodgers are taking things slow, getting to know each other, and aren’t rushing down the aisle.
“When’s the wedding? No idea. We started to plan and then we stopped the brakes. Now we’re enjoying the engaged life. I enjoy being courted. But no rush. We definitely still want to, at some point,” she says, adding that they might televise the nuptials, if everything works out. “I’d never sacrifice that day for anything.”
Her one big fashion regret from her series: being able to keep very few of the clothes, even though everything was tailored to her petite frame. A particular favorite was the 3.1 Philip Lim fringe sweater she paired with Rag & Bone leather skinny jeans.
And what about that firefighter suit?
“It could have been so perfect. When they altered my pants, they were too short. I had cropped firefighter pants!” she says.
But not everything is rosy in the Rodgers household. There’s very public friction between Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and his family, including Jordan. It’s an issue that Fletcher won’t touch; when it’s brought up, she just returns a cool glance and doesn’t say a word.
What she will say: “His family is great. He has a wonderful family. There’s nothing new that I know of. Everyone is supersupportive.”
