Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo Celebrate Their Engagement Party in Dallas
Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo ended their weeklong engagement tour on Sunday, August 13, by celebrating their upcoming wedding with close friends and family members in Dallas.
Abasolo, 37, took to Instagram late Sunday night to post a photo with Lindsay from their engagement bash, which was held at a cocktail lounge called Stirr Dallas. “My world,” he captioned the pic, along with their official couple name—#brachel.
Guests included fellow contestants from Lindsay’s season of The Bachelor, along with other local friends and family members.
The couple told The Knot and other reporters last week about their plans to wind down after their press tour. “My parents obviously know who I chose. They’re supporting me, they’re excited about it, they can’t wait to get to know Bryan off camera,” Lindsay said. “And we actually have plans to do that. You know, when all this is said and done, we’re headed to Dallas for an engagement party and then, to spend time with my family.”

From there, the two will continue to travel. “The families haven’t met yet,” Abasolo says. “We’re going down in a couple days to Dallas and we’re going to have dinner with her parents. And we’ll go to Houston and meet with her extended family. And then we’re going to fly to Miami and meet my friends and family.”
Both parties are becoming well acquainted with the two sides of the family. Lindsay, in particular, is getting to know Abasolo’s mom. “I’ve talked to her several times since the filming that you all saw,” she said. “And one of the last things she said to me is how excited she was for me to be a part of the family. I’m really looking forward to getting to know her. I mean, she and I have a date planned with each other minus Bryan, so…”

Eventually, both the lawyer and the chiropractor plan to return to their respective careers. “I’ve worked really hard to get to where I am,” Lindsay told The Knot in April, while she was still on her Bachelorette journey. “I always want to hold true to that. It’s something that I’ve wanted since I was 7 years old. And my dad would kill me if I stopped.”
