JoAnna Garcia Swisher Is Ready For Back-To-School Season!
Garcia Swisher is already getting ready for back-to-school time, and with her recent partnership with Post-it Brand and Scotch Brand, she’s easing herself and her family back into a routine with the all-in-one Back-to-School Countdown Kit. The kit, with 21 interactive projects and tips on how to get that new routine moving right along, can help get families into the mindset of a new school year in a fun way.
“I was really excited when Post-it and Scotch Brand approached me about this because back-to-school is a big deal in our house. And I was just so happy to hear that companies that I know and love and are a huge part of my daily life are coming to me,” she told The Blast exclusively. “The Countdown Kit is so cool and I’ve really enjoyed it. I got mine a little bit early but it’s got great projects and a little countdown calendar and is chock full of all your favorite Post-it and Scotch Brand products.”
From July 11 to 19, parents can enter the back-to-school sweepstakes for their chance to get their own Countdown Kit by visiting postit.com/backtoschoolsweepstakes.
Garcia Swisher’s daughters are headed to third and sixth grades this year, which will bring on a whole new world for the family, but they’re ready for all the fun and chaos, and the kit is helping ease them into it.
Tips For Getting Ready For A New School Year
Garcia Swisher said being organized and prepared has helped her family tackle back-to-school time a little bit easier.
“Having all of the tools in front of you to be able to plug and play, so you can kind of bob and weave, you know, whenever a curveball comes your way,” she explained. “And just being able to be prepared with all the products that we need. I have sticky notes everywhere reminding us of things in general.”
And once school is in full gear, the craziness doesn’t exactly just end. That’s when the juggling really begins.
“I’m always giving myself a little bit of grace for knowing that there’s going to be a lot of balls to juggle, but there’s going to be things that come up last minute. Being stocked, I’m definitely a prepper, so I like to know that I have all the tools at my disposal for whatever comes our way, and inevitably, it does. Things always kind of come up, but we’re prepared.”
JoAnna Garcia Swisher Has Been Acting Since Childhood
The mom of two has been acting since the young age of 10 when she felt she wanted to do something creative.
“I was playing competitive tennis, and I just wanted something more creative. My parents were really adamant about me having something that I committed to,” she told The Blast. “So I took classes at the local theater company and things just kind of snowballed from there.”
Garcia Swisher’s career took off and hasn't slowed down since. When asked if she has a favorite past project, she said that would be like choosing your favorite kid, but said many are meaningful.
“I have many projects that have been really meaningful for different reasons and at different points in my life,” she explained. “And right now, the show that I’m on, ‘Sweet Magnolias,’ is definitely a standout for me and just like where I am personally and professionally and with the group of people that I’m working with.”
Looking Back And Ahead...
Another show that stands out for Garcia Swisher is “Reba.”
“‘Reba’ would definitely be up there,” she continued. “But they’ve all meant something to me because it’s happened at different phases in my life and different moments and it’s all been memorable in certain ways.”
In addition to just wrapping “Sweet Magnolias,” Garcia Swisher also recently launched a production company, inspired by her popular book club.
For the time being, she plans to take a deep breath and enjoy the rest of summer before moving on to any future projects.
JoAnna Garcia Swisher Shares Tips For Working Parents
As a working mom of two, Garcia Swisher knows what it’s like to find a good work-life balance. One thing that’s helped her to find that balance is being aware that not everything will always be perfect.
“I think just giving myself grace and knowing that it’s not all going to be perfect all of the time, but that we are all doing the best that we can and supporting each other. Really taking the help when it’s there and relying on the village has been really important for me,” she said.
“But just knowing that, you know, they’re all gonna be okay, they are loved, and you know, that it’s all gonna be alright.”
