Backstreet Boy Nick Carter reveals his wife had a miscarriage: 'I'm heartbroken'
Nick Carter’s wife has suffered a miscarriage, the Backstreet Boys singer announced on Twitter Monday.
The 38-year-old pop star asked for “peace” in a tweet as he revealed that he and wife Lauren Kitt had experienced a pregnancy loss. Carter also confirmed that the couple, who have been married since 2014, were expecting a “little sister for Odin,” their 2-year-old son.
God give us peace during this time. I really was looking forward to meeting her after 3 months. 😢. I’m heart broken.

Carter initially wrestled with the idea of canceling his Sept. 10 solo concert in Lima, Peru. After telling fans, “I don’t think I can perform tonight,” he later decided to push through “for the love of my fans.”
I don’t think I can perform tonight. I’m sorry Lima.

This will be hard, but for the love of my fans here in Lima I’ll be on the stage tonight.

It’s unclear when the miscarriage occurred. On the day of her husband’s announcement, Kitt posted on Instagram about her skin care routine. Just two hours before Carter’s tweet, the Backstreet Boys posted an image of him in a celebratory pose. Neither Kitt nor the band has commented on the pregnancy.

Carter isn’t the only celebrity male who has spoken out this week about losing a pregnancy. Days ago actor James Van Der Beek shared an emotional Instagram post reflecting on the three miscarriages he and wife Kimberly have suffered.
