Before the Grammys went down on Sunday night, InStyle and Motown hosted an event with John Hardy, FIJI water, and Lyft to celebrate Badass Women in music. Hyde on Sunset set the stage, where over 150 guests from the music industry enjoyed a night hosted by Ethiopia Habtermariam and Laura Brown. Naturally, the crowd put the glitter in glitterati, wearing some of John Hardy's stunning creations.

Actor Alexandra Shipp (who you might recognize as young Storm from the X-Men franchise or a star turn in the cult hit Love, Simon) wore John Hardy's one-of-a-kind Cinta 18k Yellow Gold Modern Chain Earrings with White Fresh Water Pearl, which featured a 30.70 carat stunner, as well as Hardy's Pave in Rainbow Moonstone and White Diamond. Since the special night called for a unique piece, the earrings won't be hitting stores. Instead, anyone interested will definitely get the VIP treatment. Co-host Ethiopia Habtemariam was also decked out in John Hardy pieces. Opting to get totally iced out in the brand's Classic Chain line, Habtermariam was dripping with the Drop Earrings in 18k Yellow Gold and Lava Diamond Pave Ring in Sterling Silver, mixing metals and looking like a total badass goddess while doing it. She finished the look with a slew of other Classic Chain pieces, but mixed in the Modern Chain Bracelet in 18k Yellow Gold for good measure.

The event didn't just bring together some of music's most powerful women, it was also to celebrate Motown's 60th anniversary this year, which will culminate with a CBS special to air this April. Fans got a taste of it at the actual Grammys ceremony, where Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, and Smokey Robinson himself took to the stage to perform some of Motown's biggest hits.
