Bakery mixup leaves woman with marijuana-themed birthday cake instead of Moana
A 25-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia, was surprised after a bakery misheard her mom’s order and sent her a marijuana-themed birthday cake instead of a “Moana” one.
Kensli Davis’s mom tried to order a cake for her daughter, but according to comments on a Facebook post on the birthday girl’s profile, Dairy Queen employees misheard. In what Davis saw as a hilarious mix-up, they prepared a cannabis-themed dessert instead of a Disney one.
“So my mama called and ordered me a cake telling them how much I loved Moana,” Davis wrote. “Well needless to say these people thought she said marijuana.”
The cake they received was incorrectly, but artistically prepared — complete with green letters, a cannabis leaf and a “high” pony with “red eyes” and a puff of smoke blowing from its snout.
People began commenting on the photo Davis shared, laughing at the blunder.
“Love the cute ‘my little marijuana pony,’” one person commented.
“Why in the f*** is a high my little pony on the cake,” wrote another.
Someone added that they wanted to order the marijuana cake on purpose. “I just need to know where she ordered it cause I want this,” they wrote.
Though the dessert wasn’t what she expected, Davis wrote that the “ice cream cake was still good.” Kensli Davis and representatives from Dairy Queen did not immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyle’s requests for comment.
