Barack Obama just broke his 'no selfies' rule for Joe Biden
Former Vice President Joe Biden has rejoined Instagram, and his friend former President Barack Obama welcomed him back with a silly selfie he shared on his account Saturday afternoon.

He welcomed Biden back, and wrote, “you’ll always be one of the rare exceptions to my no-selfies rule.”
The VP announced his return to the image-sharing platform on Thursday with a post about a group of veterans he supports by joining them, along with his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, on an awareness walk.
Of the group, he wrote, “They are raising awareness for the tens of thousands of warriors who return home from battle with post-traumatic stress or traumatic brain injuries.”

He also commented that he was happy to be back, writing, “I’m proud to know them, and grateful to have the chance to once again share my days with you here on @instagram. It’s good to be back.”
The former president had been keeping a somewhat low profile until this week, when he took the stage in front of an audience of students at the University of Illinois on Friday. He was not there to mess around. He was there to both scold and provide hope, dad-style. Obama turned his visit into a “State of Our Democracy” review, and it did not go over well with our current president, Donald Trump, whose name he pronounced for the first time since the election.
