A Barbenheimer Movie Is in the Works
Yes, you really are seeing what you think you're seeing. A Barbenheimer movie is in the works, but it isn't the plot you think it is... it's even wilder!
Selling at the American Film Market, Barbenheimer takes place deep within Dollsville, where a group of fed-up female dolls, led by the brilliant Dr. Barbenheimer, build an atomic bomb. Their mission? To bring down the patriarchy once and for all. But as the battle of the sexes swells, will Barbenheimer and her bevy of beauties end up blowing up more than they bargained for?
The B-movie icon behind Full Moon Features, Charles Band, is set to produce and told The Hollywood Reporter that "It's 100 percent true" that the movie is an attempt at a shameless cash grab in the wake of the success of Barbie and Oppenheimer at the summer box office.
He also called it "an opportunity to have fun with the bizarre coupling of these two movies and the combination of Barbie's vibe and the darkness of Oppenheimer. You mix that together and you have such an opportunity for dark humor".
A script is ready to go, and they've even got songs from Brian Wecht to throw in, too.
Cameras are expected to start rolling next year.
