It's not often that we audibly gasp when we come across a new beauty look on Instagram. But leave it to Bella Hadid and makeup artist extraordinaire Hung Vanngo. The two teamed up in Paris yesterday to create a smoky eye look that just killed every other smoky eye look that ever existed.

Hadid hosted a Chrome Hearts party in Paris wearing a dramatic look from eyes to toe. Vanngo didn't reveal what products he used, but since Hadid is the face of Dior makeup, we can only assume it was one of the brand's eyeshadow palettes. The palette called Provoke includes a metallic silver eyeshadow that you can swipe from the inner corner to the middle of the lid, then one smoky gray and one slate colored eyeshadow to blend and define. And while everyone loves to hate on the sponge applicators that come in mot shadow palettes, they're actually the perfect tool to help create a rounded smoky eye like Hadid's.

Pack the eyeshadow on the sponge tip, then press it where you want the wing of shadow to end. Repeat this until you get your desired opacity, then blend the eyeshadow back toward your crease and eyelid to connect the look together. Ditch the sponge for blending and for the lower lashline-you'll want to use a more precise packed powder brush for that.

An eye this dramatic will likely leave some shadow fall-out, so it's best to start it before applying the rest of your makeup. That way you can wipe away any areas that got a little too smoky, then apply your foundation and concealer.
