  • Bella Thorne revealed that she never learned to read and taught herself how to count.

  • Bella recently made headlines for releasing her nude photos after someone threatened to leak them.

Bella Thorne is known for being incredibly honest and not holding back despite what people (read: Whoopi Goldberg) think. And now-in the wake of releasing her nude photos before they could be leaked-the actress is out here chatting about teaching herself to read and count.

While being interviewed on the podcast Chicks in the Office about her book The Life of a Wannabe Mogul: Mental Disarray, Bella said, “I don’t talk about it in this one, but in the third book, it would be the fact that I never learned how to read and I learned how to read from reading scripts.” She also said she taught herself basic math, explaining that she “learned how to count from counting my dad’s cash.”

FYI, Bella did go to school, but she struggled with dyslexia: “I remember when I started first grade. Right away, it was awful because I couldn’t read as well as the other kids. My brain mixed up letters like ‘B’ and ‘D’ and ‘M’ and ‘W.’ Dyslexia is different for everyone who has it. For me, it just makes it harder to read or write.”

Aside from her new book, Bella has a YA book series under her belt with three titles called Autumn Falls, Autumn’s Wish, and Autumn’s Kiss. And that’s just one of her accomplishments. “I was tone-deaf, and I now own a record label and I’m signed to Sony as an artist and I can sing a cappella like a bitch-ass, so f*ck with me,” she explained. “I had $200 to my name by 18 and bought a house by 19....I am writing a series and got an Oscar winner to play my mom. I’m out here doing sh*t that people say is impossible.”

Cool, same, re: buying a house at 19.
