Ben Affleck Just Proved That Adam Driver Is Even Hotter Than We Thought

What’s hotter than a tall, lanky, talented, neurotic Adam Driver? A tall, lanky, talented, neurotic Adam Driver who does nice things for his co-stars’ kids.

Last month, Driver began filming historical drama The Last Duel in France alongside co-stars (and co-writers/co-producers/unofficial co-presidents of the Bostonian Representation in Hollywood club) Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

Affleck had just one caveat in his shooting schedule: He needed to be in L.A. in time for his son Samuel’s eighth birthday.

"I'm a divorced dad, I get half the time with my son, and it was his birthday! So I said to [the producers], 'I'll do whatever the schedule needs, but on the 27th, I gotta be in L.A,'" Affleck told the eponymous Jimmy Kimmel Live host during a recent episode of the talk show. "So they set it up where I was shooting right up to the 27th, and then I kinda had to scramble … and I was going to land right in time for his birthday."

Affleck made it to L.A. for Samuel’s surprise party with little time to spare. But when he got home, he was disappointed to find that the presents he’d ordered hadn’t arrived on time.

Enter: Kylo — I mean, Driver.

While Samuel understands that Affleck and mom Jennifer Garner are actors whose job it is to pretend to be other people, the Argo star said that his youngest also “knows that Star Wars is real.”

When Affleck attempted to tell Samuel that he was going to be in a film with Kylo Ren, “his mind opened in two.” Affleck relayed the story to Driver, who agreed to tape a birthday video for the super fan — but Driver’s contribution to Samuel’s birthday didn’t end there.

“I had to show up to my son's party with no gift for him. And there was this sort of sinking, awful feeling,” Affleck said. But he soon learned that Driver had done some behind-the-scenes sleuthing (i.e. contacting Affleck’s assistant to get his address) and sent a bunch of gifts along with a signed card and photo of Kylo Ren.

"[Samuel] opened the presents and I played him the video, and it was an incredibly moving and powerful moment," Affleck, overcome with emotion, shared. "Adam made me a hero to my kid, and I will never, ever, ever forget that."
