Ben Affleck Says That He Keeps in Touch With Ex-Fiancée Jennifer Lopez
Ben Affleck shared that he still talks to his ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez.
The two were together from 2002 to 2004.
Ben Affleck has been doing the publicity rounds for his new movie The Way Back, and in a recent interview with The New York Times, he got candid about his relationship with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. He called their divorce "the biggest regret of my life," and added, "Shame is really toxic. There is no positive by-product of shame. It’s just stewing in a toxic, hideous feeling of low self-worth and self-loathing."
And it also looks like Ben opened up about one of his other famous exes in the interview. Brooks Barnes, the writer of the profile, recently tweeted some quotes that didn't make it into the piece, which included Ben's thoughts on his ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez. He said:
She should have been nominated. She's the real thing. I keep in touch periodically with her and have a lot of respect for her. How awesome is it that she had her biggest hit movie at 50? That's fucking baller.
As a reminder, Ben and J.Lo started dating back in 2002 while filming a movie together, got engaged, and then split in 2004—so it's nice to hear that they keep in touch 16 years later.
And in case you're wondering what else didn't make it into the profile, yes, there was more info about Ben's relationship with Jennifer Garner. He also shared:
The first and main thing that I have to say to Jennifer Garner in public or in private is thank you. I want to be really clear about how much I respect her and how much I value the fact that she works with me in co-parenting.
So, in conclusion, it looks like Ben is on good terms with both of his exes named Jennifer!
