Fun fact: Ben and Jerry's are the originators of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream. In the late 1980s, the ice cream company followed a fan's suggestion to add raw cookie dough to their ice cream, and in 1991, the flavor hit store shelves nationwide. The flavor is one of their fan favorites, and now, Ben & Jerry's is releasing three new flavors featuring cookie dough cores.

The new flavors are Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Core, Sweet Like Sugar Cookie Dough Core, Wake & “No Bake” Cookie Dough Core, and they all sound delicious.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Core is a nod to the original, and it features cookie milk ice cream with fudge chips and a chocolate chip cookie dough core.

Sweet Like Sugar Cookie Dough Core is a layered flavor. One side is made with sweet cream ice cream that features almond flavor and shortbread cookies, and the other side features cherry ice cream. A sugar cookie dough core completes the trifecta.

Wake & "No Bake" Cookie Dough Core is also a layered flavor, with vanilla ice cream and peanut butter cookies on one side of the pint and peanut butter ice cream with fudge chips on the other. Wake & "No Bake" also features a no bake cookie dough core.

And these yummy cookie dough cores run no risk of getting you sick, as Ben & Jerry's uses heat-treated flour and pasteurized egg yolks for their cookie dough.
