The hotel occupies the first floor of a mostly residential turn-of-the-century building which has housed pensions (guest houses) of one kind or another since the Weimar era. The hotel has the classic hallmarks of a Berliner Altbau (old building): high ceilings, decorative stucco, wooden flooring.
