If you’re a crafting enthusiast, you’re probably a fan of the Cricut, a genius cutting machine that lets you make one-of-a-kind creations. And if you haven’t heard about the Cricut, read on— because the Cricut on sale now at a great price, making it easy to give it a shot.
The Cricut brings crafting to a whole new level. That’s because it doesn’t just cut paper, it cuts all sorts of materials, from vinyl, denim and card stock to felt, leather and poster board (yes, little Harper will be the talk of the science fair). So cool.
It even cuts wood!
The Cricut works wirelessly with your computer, so you can create a design (or choose from pre-set images, fonts and projects) and send it to the machine via Bluetooth to cut more than 100 materials. It’s kind of like a printer that cuts out your design instead of printing it (though it can do that too).

And it’s not like the machine just spits out a flat two-dimensional flyer. It can cut card stock, cut slits in the card to hold another piece of paper, draw a design on it, score the card, and more. You simply send the machine a file of what you want and it goes to work.
The Cricut is kind of like a design assistant who doesn’t need coffee breaks.
You can fit the machine with a variety of blades and pens (like metallic markers and lots of other goodies).
Just think of the possibilities: a handmade wedding card for a friend using lace (and leather?); a onesie to welcome a baby to the world featuring a design cut from iron-on fabric; a customized vinyl sticker for your car window!
There’s also a Prime Day sale right now for the Cricut EasyPress! The press, which comes with a big handle and safety base perfect for easily pressing on any material, comes with an evenly heated plate that combines fabric in just 60 seconds.

Or what about foil gift tags, ornaments, invitations, and felt costume pieces? Allow me to brainstorm further: You can decorate a mailbox with a vinyl cutout of your last name, cut out pieces of foam snowmen for decorating wreaths, or create customized tote bags with iron-on vinyl. Cut out pieces of leather to make bracelets or print your own window film for the holidays. Go wild!
Accessories abound, like a 5 piece tool set ($13, was $19) that includes micro-tip scissors for precise trimming and tweezers to lift your precious creations without messing them up. There’s also frosted window cling (ooh!) and glittery sheets o’ viny
