The start of 2023 wasn't exactly what I had in mind. I contracted some sort of virus and then pink eye, which put a damper on my New Year and birthday plans and left me bedridden for over 10 days straight. I was on several antibiotics, and continuously drinking fluids seemed to work a bit, but if I am being honest, nothing really helped get me through those grueling first few weeks of the year as the Vitruvi Cloud Cool Mist Humidifier did.

Sick or not, I am a big fan of humidifiers and can not sleep without one on. When the weather outside is frigid and the indoor heat is blasting to a maximum, a humidifier has the ability to boost moisture in dry air and address parched skin, cracked lips, dry sinuses, restlessness, and many more health or skin woes associated with winter. I specifically struggle most with dry sinuses—it's truly a pain, and my nose burns every time I breathe in. My naturally-dry skin is another issue I'm often dealing with during this time of year, too.

And so, what I appreciate most about Vitruvi's recently-released device is that it's actually effective and does deliver soothing benefits. Overnight, it helps with my dull, tired, and uneven skin texture, and delivers a glow that many products on the market can't even get right. And gosh, how it helps me sleep better... I am already a good sleeper as is, but there have been one too many times I have been woken up from my nostrils burning. With the humidifier, I experience none of that and wake up feeling refreshed as ever.

I also love the many cool features the machine offers. For starters, it's whisper quiet—so you won't hear an annoying whirring sound while you snooze. It even has a night mode, which is a light-free setting for extra-sensitive sleepers (though the humidifier has minimal lights as is, so I can't really see it hindering many peoples' sleep cycles). There are tons of options for misting output and run time, too. When I am sleeping, I usually set it to eight hours at a medium level, but when I am working from home, I like to keep it on for 16 hours at the lowest level since I spend most of the day in my bedroom. On top of all that, the Vitruvi is easy to clean (it's dishwasher safe!) and comes with a filter that captures dust and particles and keeps air clean.

Oh, and the fact that it has an insanely-sleek shape? That's truly the cherry on top for me. Vitruvi really hit the nail on the head with its cool, modern design; it doesn't look like an eye sore on my nightstand or anywhere else in my room. It's not clunky or bulky, and it looks like it was made to be a decorative objet.

Suffice it to say I'm obsessed with everything about this humidifier. It's truly become a wintertime savior, and I can't wait to see how well it works when summer comes around again and my AC is blasting on high at 65 degrees.
