This is the best mascara ever, according to a celebrity makeup artist
Mascara is one of the few beauty products that can transform the way you look in seconds. It’s a beauty staple for a reason: A single swipe on your lashes is all it sometimes takes to look fresh-faced and wide awake.
According to one celebrity makeup artist, there’s one mascara that has stood the test of time, countless red carpets and is hands-down the best one ever: Dior’s Diorshow.
There are few beauty products that gain status as classics. But there’s no denying that Diorshow has reached pinnacle ironic status since it’s 2002 launch. Celebrities including Blake Lively, Meghan Markle and Kylie Jenner call it a favorite, but even if you’re not hitting the red carpet, the high-pigment, glossy formula looks good on everyone.
“Diorshow mascara is truly an icon. It’s the best mascara because it gives both volume and length and it’s been used by myself and my peers for years,” celebrity makeup artist Sabrina Bedrani tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “It’s a kit essential.”
What makes it so great?
“The formula is buildable,” explains the makeup artist, who works with celebrities including Sandra Bullock, Gwyneth Paltrow and Gal Gadot. “It doesn’t dry out nor flake if you try to add an extra coat, which is essential for a great mascara!”
The inky pigment and larger-than-life bristle brush work together to define lashes, boost volume and make you look and feel like a supermodel.

For the best results, Bedrani recommends curling clean lashes or coating lashes with a primer before applying Diorshow.
“If I want really dramatic lashes, and I’ll always apply a second coat right away. I also sometimes use the 3D Maximizer Lash Primer first for extra full lashes,” she adds.
And, if you’re going from work to happy hour and your lashes need an extra boost, you can simply add a few more coats Diorshow without worrying about clumping.
“The best thing about this mascara is that you can control the level of drama you want on your lashes. You can just curl and apply one coat for an everyday look, you can also remove the excess mascara from the brush with a tissue before applying for a very natural look, or you can apply several coats for more of a dramatic look,” explains Bedrani.
At $29.50, Diorshow is a splurge, but it’s one you won’t regret.
“It’s everything you want in a mascara,” Bedrani maintains. “You don’t need to have one lengthening and one volumizing, this one does both and doesn’t transfer or flake.”
