The best way to spruce up your beauty routine is with a fresh manicure. And no matter what color you favor, there’s one shade that looks good on everyone, according to Sarah Gibson Tuttle, chief executive officer and founder of Olive & June.
“We love a neutral mani any time of year,” Tuttle tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “We love neutrals that have a lot of white in them as they are the most flexible and flattering, because they create a bright, but subtle contrast. It's a done-but-not-so-done look that looks pulled together day or night.”
A cool neutral can lend itself to nude, mauve or taupe colors, depending on what suits your skin tone; however, neutrals don’t have to feel plain, adds Tuttle.
“When we decided to start treating light shades of blue and lavender and pinks as neutrals at the salon, a whole world of mani possibilities opened up,” she says. In fact, the Olive & June founder says a touch of pastel makes the perfect summer neutral.
