Bernie Sanders’s Logo Makes Another Appearance (and More Great Shoe Moments From PFW)
If you’ve kept up with our Fashion Week coverage, you know there have been many unforgettable moments.
At Paris Fashion Week, the famous Bernie Sanders political campaign logo made another appearance during Balenciaga‘s Fall/Winter 2017 show. It first appeared during Demna Gvasalia’s Balenciaga menswear show in January, but here it subtly showed up on the side of two pairs of pumps. The design was portrayed less dramatically than before, but leave it to fashionistas to never let a small detail go unnoticed.
Of course, PFW was packed with another season of fantastic collections with covetworthy shoes, from Saint Laurent‘s glitter boots to Junya Watanabe’s punk rock-inspired collection featuring creeper-style boots in white and red.
At Milan Fashion Week, Italian favorites from Gucci to Prada filled their collections with opulent color, excess, and maximalist style. Meanwhile, at Versace, powerful words like “unity,” “courage,” and “love” were emblazoned on hats and sleeves and more.
At London Fashion Week this season, Burberry staged a stunning show amid gorgeous Henry Moore sculptures, a 70-year-old woman walked the Simone Rocha show, and at Topshop we wanted to buy everything on the runway (and now we can, through their see now, buy now model).
We can’t forget New York Fashion Week’s highly anticipated Raf Simons runway debut at Calvin Klein or the plethora of body-positive moments and political statements that took center stage on the runways.
Aside from all the memorable moments and prettiest dresses, we want to make sure you are equally caught up on all the best shoes spotted on the catwalk thus far.
