Beyoncé is called Queen Bey for a reason, and that's because she consistency puts out material that has defined a literal generation. Her music and vocal ability? Sublime. Her concert fits? Legendary. Her newest clothing line? To die for! But with Bey's never-ending schedule, it's no wonder why she hasn't taken a proper break in years. Thankfully, though, the pandemic has allowed her to hit the pause button, if only temporarily.

In the corresponding interview for her December issue of British Vogue, Bey said that she's using the time off to reconnect with her three kids, Blue Ivy, Rumi and Sir Carter. “I truly cherish this time with my family, and my new goal is to slow down and shed stressful things from my life,” she said. “I came into the music industry at 15 years old and grew up with the world watching, and I have put out projects nonstop.”

“I released Lemonade during the Formation World Tour, gave birth to twins, performed at Coachella, directed Homecoming, went on another world tour with Jay, then Black Is King, all back-to-back,” Bey continued. “It’s been heavy and hectic. I’ve spent a lot of time focusing on building my legacy and representing my culture the best way I know how. Now, I’ve decided to give myself permission to focus on my joy.”

Glad to hear that Bey's going to take a break from working! Guess that also means we can't expect an album anytime soon, so with that being said, I'm going to be streaming the masterpiece that is Black Is King until further notice. Ciao!
