Summer just isn’t as fun without Big Brother. After what has felt like a major delay (in actuality, only a month!), the longtime reality competition series is finally on its way back to CBS. But before season 25 kicks off on August 2, fans will go down memory lane via a special called Big Brother: 25th Anniversary Celebration.

Hosted by Entertainment Tonight's Nischelle Turner, viewers will get a dose of Big Brother’s greatest moments by taking a deep dive into archival footage. What’s more, fan-favorite houseguests and winners will make appearances, like Cody Calafiore, Taylor Hale, Derrick Levasseur and many others. Apart from throwbacks and a sneak peek at the new episodes, folks will also hear from host Julie Chen Moonves, who hinted about her future on the show.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the Big Brother star revealed how long she plans on staying. "I like to take one season at a time. Going into season 25, I'm like, 'I never want it to end.' I think there would have to be a few things [to make me step away],” she told the outlet.

Julie continued: “Like if I feel like the public is getting tired of me or the show is not what I want it to be. But with [executive producers] Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan leading the way, I can't imagine it ever being something that I feel is not in alignment with me or what the show should be in my mind."

By the sounds of it, the idea of leaving Big Brother hasn’t crossed her mind. Still, Julie isn’t ruling the possibility out. "I think, you know, when it's time to go, whether as a show or me as a host, and I just don't see signs of that right now. But you just never know,” she concluded to the publication.

What’s more, she spilled that she wasn’t the first choice for host when it debuted in 2000. Though Meredith Vieira passed on the opportunity, it hasn’t taken away from Julie’s experience on the show.

“I was terrible in the beginning," she told Entertainment Tonight. "I’ve grown so much as a human being and as a host … And I love it. I can’t imagine not hosting 'Big Brother' anymore.”
