Billy Joel Residency Makes Major Announcement That Will Impact Fans
Billy Joel's residency at Madison Square Garden couldn't go on forever, we suppose.
The iconic "Piano Man" musician has been gracing the New York City arena with monthly performances for almost ten years now, but his residency will soon be coming to an end.
It was announced on Thursday, June 1 that Joel's record-breaking residency at The Garden will be wrapping up next summer. His final 10 monthly residency shows at the sports arena have been scheduled to start in October, and will run until July 2024.
His final show will mark his 150th lifetime show at The Garden, said James Dolan, the MSG CEO at a news conference on Thursday. "No other city in the world could have hosted this," he added, per NY Daily News.
