Bindi Irwin Reflects on Falling in Love With Chandler Powell
Chandler Powell and Bindi Irwin
Bindi Irwin is one sentimental woman.
The 25-year-old is marking nearly a decade since meeting her now-husband Chandler Powell. The two first crossed paths in November 2013, according to People, when Powell visited the Australia Zoo while in the country for a wakeboarding competition. Now, just shy of 10 years of knowing one another, the conservationist is looking back on their journey so far.
She took to Instagram on Oct. 16 with a montage of photos from throughout their time together, set to Tyler Shaw's "Love You Still," a more romantic take on Gayle's "abcdefu."
The digital collage included photos with family and wildlife, as well as residents of the Australia Zoo, of course, and offered a sneak peek at some of their grand adventures together, including scuba diving and mountain climbing.
"Almost 10 years ago I fell in love with your kind heart. ??," she wrote. "I’ll be here loving you for the rest of my existence. @chandlerpowell."
"So many wonderful memories fit into one decade with so many more to come," Powell wrote in response. "I love you more and more every day. ??."
The two reportedly kept in contact after their initial meeting as Powell went to college in the United States, eventually going "Instagram Official" about two years later. They remained long distance until January 2018, when he moved to Australia to be with her.
They recently celebrated the four-year anniversary of their engagement, where Irwin sweetly noted, "Loving you is the greatest adventure." The couple married on March 25, 2020 and now share a 2-year-old daughter named Grace Warrior.
