Albany Park Barton Sofa Review:

Upon moving to my first solo apartment in NYC, one of the most exciting and daunting tasks was looking for the right couch. I started with a small loveseat, but over the years, my lifestyle and preferences shifted and I came to a point where I wanted to revamp my living space, especially my sofa. I decided on the Albany Park Barton and couldn’t be happier.

The sofa took about three weeks to arrive since each unit is custom made-to-order. Once the product is ready to ship, the brand reaches out with a variety of delivery windows for added flexibility. I live in a walk-up and Albany Park delivers furniture to the lobby, so getting the couch up a couple flights of stairs was a challenge. While the brand doesn’t offer white-glove delivery at the moment, if you’re in a house or an apartment with an elevator, it won’t be an issue.

Once we got all the pieces inside, it was generally a breeze with installation because no major tools are needed for assembly. Setup was under 10 minutes, and it was good to go right away — no need for any technical expertise, which I really appreciated.

I’m not kidding when I say this sofa has become my favorite piece in the house. The Barton Collection is designed for larger spaces and family rooms, but I decided to go for it anyway since I wanted to upgrade from my Ikea loveseat. It’s something to keep in mind, though, as the size could feel a bit large for smaller rooms. Just be sure to measure ahead.

There is nothing more satisfying than being able to fully stretch out on my sofa for hours comfortably. Without the back cushions, it’s almost as big as a single bed so it can serve a dual purpose as a guest bed. I also appreciate how it offers the perfect mix of softness and support, and the fabric is liquid- and stain-resistant, so I can relax without stressing about spills during my binge-watching and snacking sessions.

The aesthetic is unmatched due to the minimalist and modern silhouette that elevates the space completely. I chose a neutral color, but the sofa is offered in a variety of materials and shades. In conclusion, I am thrilled about my Barton Sofa and would recommend it to anyone looking for a couch upgrade. Plus, Albany Park guarantees a 30-day home trial and lifetime warranty.
