HAVING A GOOD TIME: Blackpink’s Jennie Kim is the new face — and wrist — of the latest campaign for the Chanel Première édition Originale watch, unveiled Friday.

“I prefer to wear my watch on my left hand,” she said in behind-the-scenes footage that accompanies the film and pictures captured by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in Paris.

Wearing an all-black ensemble trimmed with gold chains, the singer, rapper and actress can be seen lounging in a suite overlooking Place Vend?me, playing with the timepiece.

As she bounces on the bed for the camera, Kim also revealed that the shoot was her first time in Paris in the summer. “I’m loving the weather and the ambiance,” she adds.

A brand ambassador for the French house since 2017, the South Korean star has previously appeared in campaigns for the Chanel 22 bag, its Coco Neige skiwear line and the Coco Crush fine jewelry. She has been wearing the brand so extensively at events, outings and even music videos that she is occasionally called “human Chanel” by some fans.

Kim joins Lily-Rose Depp, who was revealed as the first face of the Première édition Originale, launched in 2022 to mark the 35th anniversary of its namesake.

Originally created by the late Jacques Helleu in 1987, this design is deemed “far more than a watch…a lesson in style” by Arnaud Chastaingt, director of the Chanel watchmaking creation studio.

The watch was modeled after the stopper of the brand’s bestselling No.5 fragrance, with hands floating on a black lacquer dial featuring no numbers.

Its 2022 incarnation was given minute updates, such as technical evolutions to the clasp and gold plating, now also in a softer shade of gold chosen to match the current color of that used for the house’s famous handbags.
