Blake Lively, Selena Gomez and Emily Ratajkowski wear the earrings of the season
Nineties-style hoop earrings have received a colorful update, thanks to jewelry designer Alison Lou, who recently launched her Loucite collection. In just a few short weeks, stylish celebs from Selena Gomez to Gabrielle Union, Blake Lively, Tracee Ellis Ross, and more have been spotted wearing the designer’s playful jelly hoop earrings.
They are available in three sizes — small (1 inch), medium (2 inches), and large (3 inches) — and in a variety of pastel shades, like lilac and baby blue, as well as more vibrant colors, like turquoise and emerald green. They’re also available in white, which seems to be the most popular color choice among the celebrity set.
The earrings are made out of clear Lucite, hand painted with colorful enamel, and brass plated with 14k yellow gold posts and backs. The best part is that the earrings are extremely lightweight, so they won’t tug down on your ears like heavier hoop earrings. However, they are on the pricier side, retailing for $125 for the smallest version and $165 for the largest hoop size.
Alison Lou tapped style icon Emily Ratajkowski to front the designer’s first campaign for Loucite by Alison Lou. The newly married actress and model wears the earrings with a variety of translucent trench coats. Gomez, however, paired the earrings with athleisure, while Lively and Ross dressed them up with gorgeous pink gowns. These Lucite earrings are evidently meant for all occasions, day or night, and add the perfect pop of color to any outfit — and they seem to be the season’s must-have jewelry piece, so far.
Ahead, shop the celebrity favorite, Loucite by Alison Lou earrings, and other Lucite earrings fit for all budgets.
