Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Just Announced a Brand New Duet Called "Happy Anywhere"
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani will debut their new duet, "Happy Anywhere", on Friday, July 24.
The couple's last song, "Nobody But You", hit No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in April.
It's love in the time of coronavirus, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani-style!
On Monday, Blake announced that the music power couple will be releasing a new "loving, feel-good tune" following the success of their first smash hit single, "Nobody but You." The romantic new duet, "Happy Anywhere," is the couple's reflection on quarantining with the one you love.
"Real excited to share this one with y’all and honored I was able to talk @gwenstefani into doing another song with me!" Blake wrote in an Instagram post announcing the song. "#HappyAnywhere out THIS FRIDAY!"
Blake and Gwen will debut the song on the Today show on Friday when they perform for the 2020 Citi Music Series.
The show gave a sneak peek of the music video on Monday, which Gwen later reposted on her Instagram.
The video puts Blake and Gwen's irresistible chemistry on display as they serenade each other everywhere from the couch to the cornfield.
"Happy Anywhere" follows Blake and Gwen's January 2020 collaboration, "Nobody But You", which was a huge hit with fans and reached the No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in April.
"Even though Gwen and I just had a single out we decided that, under the circumstances, this year… man, there's never been a better time for 'Happy Anywhere,'" Blake said in a statement, according to Today.
He added that the song was inspired by how he and Gwen have only grown closer while they've been quarantining together during the coronavirus pandemic.
"We've all been in quarantine and lockdown, and hopefully we’ve been doing that with somebody that we really love and enjoy being around," he said. "That’s what happened with Gwen and me this summer — and this entire year."
