A Body Language Expert Says There's a Deeper Meaning to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Handholding

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made two back-to-back public appearances over the weekend, both of which involved them holding hands. Here they are on Saturday night at the SNL after-party:

And naturally, people have wasted no time analyzing the photos.

The Mirror spoke to body language expert Inbaal Honigman, who said that based on their post-SNL appearance, Taylor and Travis "display an intimate, loving connection." As for their PDA, she said "this isn't just regular hand-holding. This is a subtle way for him to show that he's ready to defend her, and he's keeping her secure behind him."

Inbaal added that "Walking ahead is the athlete's way of letting his hitmaker girlfriend know that he'll square up to anything and anyone for her. As he leads her forward, we see him lower his head so that his ear is near her mouth. This shows that he's making an effort to listen to her and not miss a word."

Per Inbaal, the fact that Taylor's eyes are "slightly lowered" shows "how much she trusts him" because "she's confident that he's leading her safely and carefully." The pair are also "perfectly in step," which "shows that they're attentive to one another."
