YouTuber and bodybuilder Matt Morsia, aka MattDoesFitness, has been taking a break from his workout challenges recently as he recovers from an Achilles rupture. However, in his latest video, he puts his body to the test during a visit with physical therapist Matt Radcliffe. As Radcliffe typically works with Premier League athletes, Matt takes it upon himself to spend the day following the routine of a soccer player, starting with a breakfast of wholemeal toast with avocado, poached eggs, and a bowl of berries with yogurt and honey.

"I know that as the day wears on, there's going to be some horrendous stuff," he says. "I'm very much a heavy lifting, short explosive guy, I'm not into any kind of endurance capacity stuff, and obviously as a footballer, that's what it's all about... I'm pretty sure the guys are going to give me a horrible time today."

Following a physio session focusing on the Achilles tendon, Radcliffe then coaches Matt through a series of activation exercises designed to build strength in his quads and glutes. After two exhausting hours, he takes a break for lunch—salmon salad, sushi, and granola with yogurt—and then gets back to it, with an intense extended cycling workout.

"I literally never do continuous exercise for that long, ever," he says.

But the day isn't over yet. Next up, Matt undergoes EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) therapy, a process which involves wearing a conductive suit and firing electrical impulses at the body, causing the muscles to contract. "This is traumatic," he says. "I'm stood on the spot and I'm absolutely sweating out."
