Boorito Returns: Get $6 Chipotle Meals and Celebrate Late on Halloween!
If you’re ready for all the spooky season things, Chipotle can help to get you in the spirit. The fast-casual chain recently announced the return of ‘Boorito’—a tradition offering a discounted entree for guests in costume and extended hours—there’s nothing scary about that! Keep reading to learn how to get a cheaper meal, what Boorito has in store for 2024 and new ways to celebrate your love of Chipotle.
Boorito is back at Chipotle
Chipotle’s iconic Halloween tradition is back this year. On October 31, 2024, guests in costume can get a discounted meal from 3 p.m. to close local time. Chipotle rewards members in the U.S. and Canada can pick any entree, including burritos, tacos, bowls and salads, for just $6.
Signing up is easy and free if you’re not a rewards member. All you need to do is enter an email, a phone number and your birthday for freebies, and you’re all set! Earn points for ordering your faves in the app and turn the points into rewards.
The offer isn’t valid for kid’s meals, catering, or third-party platform orders. You can only redeem the discount in person, and tax, tips, and side dishes are also excluded from the promotion. The celebration started in the U.S. in 2000 and made its way to Canada in 2009. Europeans are also in for a treat this year as the company decided to expand Boorito overseas.
How Boorito will be celebrated in Europe
The Boorito celebration is going international, and for the first time ever, European customers can partake in the spooky festivities. Chipotle has 20 restaurants in the U.K. and six locations in France, with menus similar to those in the U.S.
During Europe’s Boorito, guests can get any meal for £6/€7 at participating locations on Halloween. The same exclusions apply for Chipotle restaurants here, with a limit of one discounted entree per person.
Chipotle is also extending its hours on Halloween
If you happen to have a late-night craving for Chipotle, you’re in luck. Select Chipotle locations will remain open until Midnight on Halloween. 53 restaurants in prominent college towns specifically will extend their hours to accommodate college students and other hungry customers. The offer for discounted entrees will still be in effect.
“As an annual tradition for our fans, we are always looking for ways to level up our Halloween celebration,” said Chris Brandt, chief brand officer in a press release. “By extending hours on college campuses and expanding the festivities across two continents for the first time, Boorito will be bigger than ever.”
Chipotle is embracing spooky season with new costumes
The chain is going the extra mile for Halloween this year with new Chipotle-themed costumes. Last month the brand revealed they were dropping a Halloween costume collection with Spirit Halloween in response to various memes seen on both companies’ social channels.
The collection features a Chipotle napkin, fork, water cup, burrito and to-go bag and will be sold exclusively at select Spirit Halloween stores and online. All of the bodysuits are $39.99 and available in sizes small to XL.
The internet’s reaction to Chipotle’s costumes
Since the costumes are already based on internet memes, people on social media have many thoughts about the reveal.
“I think it would look better to actually wrap yourself in foil,” one user wrote in the Chipotle Reddit thread about the burrito costume specifically.
Another person wrote, “That’s the worst costume ever.”
Other users couldn’t believe that the costumes were real and thought the marketing tactic was hilarious. The good thing is that you can dress up as a Chipotle burrito on Halloween and receive a discounted burrito in return.
