Botetourt County highlighting area bests and bringing fun for all at county fair
BUCHANAN, Va. (WFXR)– The Botetourt County Fair is returning to Buchanan on Friday, Aug. 2, and Saturday, Aug. 3 at the Buchanan Town Park on Lowe Street.
The Botetourt County Fair returned in 2013 after almost a 50-year absence. Since its return, it has been held every year except for 2020 and has been a popular event for citizens and visitors of Botetourt County.
The annual county fair provides an opportunity for the community to learn more about the rich agricultural heritage of the region. This ranges from its local working farms, 4-H, and FFA program while including opportunities to sample local Botetourt-grown products.

Guests of the county fair can look forward to:
Friday, Aug. 2: 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
‘Friday Night at the Fair’ will feature a beer garden, wine sample from Virginia Mountain Vineyard Wines, and live music from the Grab Big Band
Saturday, August 3: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday will offer traditional fair offerings including a Youth Livestock Show, Draft Horse Pull, Agriculture Demonstrations, and Kids Corral featuring fun and and educational activities for children of all
Vendors ranging from gourmet cookies and cakes to handcrafted leather, and wood and wool items
