The actress revealed this in a new episode of the 'Pod Meets World' podcast.

Trina McGee is opening up about her absence from the final episode of Boy Meets World.

The actress played the character Angela Moore in the teen sitcom from Season 5 to Season 7, but surprisingly doesn't show up at all in the final episode of the series.

Appearing in a new episode of Pod Meets World, the podcast hosted by Rider Strong, Danielle Fishel, and Will Friedle, McGee finally revealed why.

McGee said to her Boy Meets World cast members, "This is some ground we have not covered. I was told, in kind of a weird, off-handed way by a very important person, that you guys all went to [showrunner] Michael Jacobs, and you said, 'We don't want her in the last episode. She's somehow taking our light.' [That] was the gist of it."

You can hear the shock and surprise in the reactions of Fishel, Friedle, and Strong in the podcast episode.

The 53-year-old actress continued, saying, "I was told that after I shot what was the show before the last episode, which was called 'Angela's Ashes,' when I left. When Michael announced to me, 'Oh, we're going to do another show on Angela,' I was so happy, not knowing this was going to be the show before the last show."

But then she found out that she wouldn't appear in the series finale, explaining, "I was under the impression y'all got together and did not want me in the last show, for some reason I was going to take some shine or something to that effect. That was really hurtful to me for a long time."

McGee went on, "I have honestly had that in my head for 20 years," saying that even her family was confused about her exclusion.

The hosts of Pod Meets World responded to the shocking statement, with Friedle saying, "Can we say for the record, Trina, that never happened...This pisses me off, I'm sorry, this is next-level crazy."

Fishel even said, "I swear on the lives of my children," to emphasize that they were telling the truth.

McGee could hear their earnestness, replying, "I believe you. I can tell by your reactions. I have had that in my head for so long, and I've never watched that show. I've always felt like, ugh. That hurt me a long time."

In earlier episodes of the podcast, which rehashes moments on Boy Meets World, revealing behind-the-scenes information and anecdotes with the cast and crew, Fishel, Friedle, and Strong shared other shocking stories about the show's production.

In particular, the showrunner, Jacobs, exhibited questionable and problematic behavior while leading Boy Meets World, so it's not totally surprising to hear his name wrapped up in everything with McGee.

McGee's character Angela is the love interest of Strong's character, Shawn Hunter. She's also close friends with Topanga Lawrence (Fishel) and Cory Matthews (Ben Savage).
