Boyfriend surprises Whataburger employee with fast food-themed promposal
Whataburger? More like Whatasurprise.
A high school senior, Natasha Blizzard, thought that Saturday would be spent doing a typical shift at her job at her local Whataburger. Little did Blizzard know that her boyfriend of more than a year, Stayton Thompson, worked together with her managers to change the message on the sign outside the Belton, Texas, restaurant.
"I actually walked right passed it," Natasha told KCENTV. "I didn't even think to look."
It wasn't until a manager had asked for her help with the marquee that she realized a message was displayed for her. "Natasha," the sign read, "Join me for Whataprom."

"When I walked out that's when I looked up and saw it," Natasha said. "I turned around to him, and he had flowers and balloons."
The Belton High School student was quick to accept his promposal and the couple is looking forward to their school's prom, which will be held on Saturday.
This is not the first time Whataburger has played a significant part in a high schooler's life. In 2018, best friends Madison Hefner and Rance Henry stopped at their Whataburger to meet their friends. While waiting, they decided that their favorite hangout spot was the perfect place to take their prom photos.
"We were already all dressed up," Hefner said at the time. "We wanted it for the memories. It’s just the significance of the spot.”
