Bravo: Sephora Is Launching Free Makeup Classes for Members of the Trans Community
With Pride Month around the corner, it's heartening to see giant corporations taking steps to support the LGBTQ community. The latest? Sephora, which just announced the newest addition to its Classes for Confidence series.
"Bold Beauty for the Transgender Community," is a complimentary class for people transitioning and those who identify as transgender or non-binary.
Beginning in June, the makeup giant will host a series of 90-minute workshops meant to inspire fearlessness in individuals facing life transitions. The sessions, which will be led by Sephora Beauty Advisors (some of whom are trans), include customized skin care regimens and product recommendations, application techniques, color and texture correction and foundation matching.
In a statement, head of social impact and sustainability at Sephora Corrie Conrad said, "Sephora Stands is dedicated to supporting diversity and inclusion in all of its social impact programming. We stand with all members of the LGBTQA community and are committed to providing these individuals with the tools they want to feel confident and beautiful every single day. At Sephora, we believe beauty is yours to define, and ours to celebrate. We are honored to be a beacon of support and part of each beauty journey through our new class offering."
Classes will be available at participating stores nationwide, but if you can’t attend in person, video tutorials will be available on the Sephora Stands YouTube channel.
