Breaking News: Meghan Markle Just Deleted Her Instagram and Twitter Accounts

We knew it was too good to be true. You know, the fact that we had a window into Meghan Markle’s personal life on social media pre-Prince Harry engagement and before she officially joins the royal clan in May. But, sadly, late last night that window was shut...for good.

Yep, if you bop over to Markle’s Instagram and Twitter accounts, you’ll either find the page is unavailable or the user no longer exists. Womp womp.

To be honest, we should have seen it coming, especially after she stopped posting to her food and lifestyle website The Tig in 2017. And we get it—not even Kate Middleton or Prince William have their own social media accounts. Instead, the royals all rely heavily on the @kensingtonroyal Instagram and Twitter handle to dispense any personal or professional news. Le sigh.

Still, it’s not all bad: @kensingtonroyal does do its best to inject some humor and fun into its posts. (Case in point, this pic of Charlotte mugging for the cam before her first day of nursery school.) So, here’s to a new era of Meghan Markle updates...even if they are prescreened.
